That was crazy. A 6 foot wave is my limit and I rarely see those in Florida, unless a hurricane is blowing my house away. I'm used to about 2-3 foot waves and they can even be hard to handle. I would probably last about 15-20 seconds on that wave before I reached that straight drop at about 0.36 seconds in to the clip. You got to have some big balls and great balance to surf a wave like that. I'm pretty brave, but if I got on that wave I wouldn't survive.

Not fake, jeez guys. It's the opening scene of Billabong Odyssey. His name is Mike Parsons. It was done at Peahi (aka Jaws) in Hawaii. It was shot from a helicopter hence making the wave look incredibly larger from the lower angle. I hate it when guys who've never surfed come on here and claim it's fake.

Gratulation from Germany. It was 90 seconds a movie about brave-test ever swim again in high waves. Okay i'm absolute watching rookie in holiday Wave-Surfing. But i never thought about the first moments that the for me nameless surfer were able to came thru the first round down water wave. Marvelous is a simple word, but the second stand upward wave test from the ocean, where does the surfer was going down under? Greetings from a landrat who needs more such virtual-gun-powder!
